Party Invites

Have booked party for ds. Venue requires condirmataion of numbers 2 weeks before. Made this clear on invitations which went out a few days before the end of term. So far I have had 3 replies out of 15 and 2 weeks date fast approaching. AIBU to expect venue to be more flexible. It is the Easter holidays for a start and for people to reply. Its only common courtesy after all. Especially as last year Ii had a mum chasing me for my reply the day after I received invite even though deadline wasn't for another week or so.

YABU to expect the venue to be more flexible, however, YWNBU to expect the parents to have the common courtesy to reply by the date you specified on the invitations.

Maybe send a text to them all remindiing them of the cut off date and stating that if you do not hear by, say, 10:00 am on that date, you will assume they are not coming.

I would do that but unfortunately I do not have their phone numbers.
