Bargain jeans

After seeing the one about the £5 note thread -

Went into M&S and bought a few things, tights, new bra and new jeans.

Was chatting to shop assistant as he rung them up. Neither of us noticed that the jeans, whilst saying £30 on the label came up as £10 at the till. No sign of them being in a sale either on the label or on the stand etc.

I noticed once I was out of the shop as it seemed like the bill was a bit less than it should be. Should I go back and explain? Am I being unreasonable to keep quiet. Did I steal from M&S? Clearly no chance of bloke on till having to make up the money....

YADNBU! Enjoy! Grin

It happens to me all the time in M&S. I think if they can't program their tills correctly, that's not my problem.

You paid what the till told you to pay.

Enjoy them.

YANBU - I work in a store sometimes and we have certain days when we go through all the stock for markdowns, probably just hadnt been labelled correctly yet!

sorry the sirens are for me Grin

enjoy the bonus, if you feel bad, wait until M&S have their next 'dine in for...' event and spend the cash on delicious food - that way, everyone's a winner and the whold family can share the wealth Wink

tee2072 i need some of that luck, or maybe i should just send you my list Wink

Sometimes items are reduced but are incorrectly labelled. This happened to me the other day in Peacocks and when I pointed it out to the lady she said the reduced price was correct.
However I have noticed the opposite at the Coop. Often their reductions don't show up at the till, so I always watch every price being displayed.

or with the £20 you got free kinda, u cld get 2 x the tesco finest meal deal for 2!
DH & DS love the ever present mash, usually present beef/chicken pies and the choc/lemon tarts - i enjoy the vino which effectively has cost bugger all!

I've had this happen in M&S when buying an item that was already reduced but then showed up as even cheaper again when put through the till.

Both myself and the cashier noticed but she just said something along the lines "ooh, even more of a bargain than you thought" and charged me the lowest price without questioning it.

I would go back and buy some more. Jeans are handy Smile
