Are acceptable in a six month period at work?

At my work it's flagged after 3 absences, then I would have a meeting with my line manager re the absences, regardless of the length of time each absence was.

At my work you get a warning/letter for 3rd absence in a 12month rolling period

It's three in mine too but if two periods went over 8 days it would be flagged too.

We have a 10 day allowance for the year and once you go over 6 days you get a letter informing you.
