Hiya, im pretty anxious at the moment and its seeping in to everything so i am probebly over reacting but here we go.

You know the lumps just behind the bottom of your ears by your neck? on my neck on the right hand side near where the muscle of my throat dips in to the soft bit of my neck i have found two small soft lumps. they feel like th ones behind my ears (as mentioned above). One the other side of my neck in a similar place i found another one.

I am very stressed, exhausted and almost at breaking point and I have head that lymph nodes become raised or lumpy at times of great stress.

Do you think these are what this could be?

Thanks

A gland probably, they become raised from time to time due to stress/viruses etc. As long as they go down within two weeks and aren't bigger than 1cm there is nothing to worry about.

I've never heard of it for stress but somebody else may well have.

Usually they are swollen because of infection but it's a good sign as it means you are fighting the infection. Do you have any signs of infection around your head and neck area or a temperature?

If not then it might be worth a visit to the Drs if they don't go down within a couple of days.

swollen glands, very very common - see your GP if you are feeling generally unwell and not getting better after a week

i have just had an awful virus, it was 3 days of high fever (to the point of delirium) hot cold sweats etc... must be related to that then.

Thank you :)
