...for £2.25, rather than wash it myself?!

Christ, no. I never wash my car by hand, takes too long. I sometimes get dd to do it for me though

FabbyChic · 04/04/2011 12:58

Do it! Cheap at the price.

onehotmomma · 04/04/2011 12:59

For £2.25 I would put it through the car wash :)

worraliberty · 04/04/2011 13:00

Take the kids, they'll love it!

Or is it just me who still get's butterflies when the big roller thing comes towards the screen...and shouts Woop Woop?! Blush

onepieceoflollipop · 04/04/2011 13:00

We have a "hand car wash" literally on the corner where we live. :)
A human washes it for us and polishes it, which costs £5. For a further £5 they will dust and hoover the inside and it looks fantatic when done.
Be careful if the £2.25 is a basic car wash, sometimes it is just like a quick wash and no dry which can leave it still a bit mucky and then streaks when it dries in the air.

BaronessOrczy · 04/04/2011 13:00

Oh thank god for that.

It's a disgrace.

I was trying to work out if 15 minutes of my time was worth £2.25 Grin

Actually for £2.25 I'd put the kids and dog through it, never mind the car Grin

BaronessOrczy · 04/04/2011 13:01

I'm thinking I'm going to use the handheld thingie - purely for fun, I've never used one before!

Worra, I don't have any kids yet, and I'm not sure the cat would get the same thrill out of it, but if you'd like to try, crack on...

Don't take a dog through a rotary wash thing unless you have vinyl seats. Poor old Pod was so traumatised he peed.

worraliberty · 04/04/2011 13:05

But you could use the cat to wipe the smears off your windscreen....

BikeRunSki · 04/04/2011 13:05

DS HATES the car wash. A hand wash place has just opened down the road, will try there later. Got a car in January and promised to keep it clean inside and out. That was 3 months ago....

atthecarwash · 04/04/2011 13:56

first time ever my name has something to do with a topic!!

BTW...I use the car wash too

KaraStarbuckThrace · 04/04/2011 13:59

My DS hates the car wash as well! But tbh I don't think they do as good a job as washing by hand, I always finds bits that get missed!
I used the local wash by hand operation in town, they always do a good job.
And it saves me having to get the step ladder out to do the roof and front windscreen properly, coz I'm a short arse Grin

MorticiaAddams · 04/04/2011 23:20

If it's done badly then it's still cheaper than paying the kids to do it badly.

MaisyMooCow · 04/04/2011 23:42

I LOVE those hand held jet washes, I get such a buzz zapping my car with it. Am I sad?!!! :)
