to burn our winter coats

Neither DD nor I got a new coat last winter, and we are now begginning to hate our coats with a firey passion. The only way i have been able to get her to wear it since Christmas, is by promising her a ceremonial burning as soon as the weather improved.

Both our coats are old, and were not expensive in the first place. Neither of them would be any credit to a charity shop.

We will dance on the ashes Grin

I do have coats that are older, but these are looking particularly worn, and my daughters definately won't fit next year. If they were still any good i would find them a home, but as they are not, we will be having a hello spring party on them.

send them to he charity shop - even though they may not be suitable for sale they can be weighed in for 'ragging' and the charity will still get something

Sod it - burn them!
You and your DD will have a lovely bonding moment and will laugh about it for years - 'Remember the time we burnt our horrid coats?!'

[feeling naughty emoticon]

Someone is going to come on here in a minute and talk about the damage you will do the ozone layer by burning your coats.
