I'm going on holiday with my lovely, widowed and ageing father tomorrow which is great, looking forward to it etc, but in 3 hours I have to go back to his house leaving DP in our house for the next 15 days. AIBU to be totally grateful to lovely father but already feeling a bit of loss and sadness... it's only 2 weeks... but 2 weeks of the sort of fun DP and I together would adore... sad face :( (he's at the shop buying wine, i'm not just wasting our final couple of hours for weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeks)

Sounds a bit pathetic to me

louloudia · 03/04/2011 18:21
Confused
valiumredhead · 03/04/2011 18:21

Good grief, get a grip, it's 2 weeks!

bristolcities · 03/04/2011 18:23

Privet just said what I was thinking.

Bunbaker · 03/04/2011 18:23

OH is on the other side of the world at the moment. I just get on with my life. Your father sounds lonely, and if he is old you must treasure the time you have left with him.

louloudia · 03/04/2011 18:23

are you leaving school soon OP?

millie30 · 03/04/2011 18:24

YANBU, a little needy though.

upahill · 03/04/2011 18:24

BertieBotts · 03/04/2011 18:26

You are a ) about 12 years old
or
b) maybe a bit worried about what DP might get up to in the 15 days.... trust issues, I wonder.....

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 03/04/2011 18:49

He is on his own for 2 weeks...wonders if he also lives in South London as I don't go sarf of the river...

Gertiegoolash · 03/04/2011 18:51

good grief love, think you need to get a grip.

SoupDragon · 03/04/2011 18:51

WTF?

vaginiasmonalogue · 03/04/2011 18:53

I'm the same. I'm going away with my mum and the kids for a week and I'm dreading it. I'll miss him like mad.

And no we aren't newlyweds, we have been married 6 years and together 8. I am not worried what he will get up to. I simply don't want to be apart!

Northernlurker · 03/04/2011 18:59

Well two weeks is not really very long and on a site where some women wave their partners off for months at a time or are even facing losing them altogether - well you're not going to get a lot of sympathy. This will be as hard as you make it - so try and make it easy!

Ambi · 03/04/2011 19:02

Oh dear god, agree with others, do get a grip!! It's only 2 weeks.
