FunnysInTheGarden

It's all got rather huuni over here

What do you mean by 'huuni'.

HolyNetmumsBatman · 30/03/2011 22:12

I'm an ex Bouny member but I promise you I didn't fit in and never hunned anyone! That was years ago though, been here ages now so perhaps any hunni ways I did have have been vipered away!

FunnysInTheGarden · 30/03/2011 22:48

oh I don't know, all a bit holier than thou. If you are not a breastfeeding, reusable, co sleeping mother who abhors CC/CIO you are the devils work.

It all used to be very unjudgemental on here, now the judges are out in force.

HolyNetmumsBatman · 30/03/2011 22:57

You're having a laugh! It's always been judgemental, just that the judgements change sides every so often iykwim. Soon it'll change again and all the co-sleeping and lentil weaving folk will be getting it in the ear. Tis what I love about mums net - equal opportunities judging. Grin

AgentZigzag · 30/03/2011 22:59

'It all used to be very unjudgemental on here'

Now, I don't believe that for one second Funnys.

You're from the Bounty website trying to sully the viperous reputation of MN aren't you? Grin

'Fess up you slaaag

FunnysInTheGarden · 30/03/2011 23:00

it used to be judgey in a good way, now it's judgey in a horrid judgey way

MumInBeds · 30/03/2011 23:01

Actually I came here from b3ta which couldn't be much further from any huuni stuff.

maras2 · 30/03/2011 23:01

Members of what ?

Vallhala · 30/03/2011 23:02

I've seen a few huns, bubs, bubbas and xxxx's tonight. It's given me one of my turns!

Luv from the Devil's Work, hunni. xxxx

maras2 · 30/03/2011 23:11

Huns Babs and bubbas .....Boak !

SmethwickBelle · 30/03/2011 23:13

I've been through Babycentre, via the Ladies Loos and a few other sites (yup and B3ta too funnily enough) - I don't think I've ever said hunni.

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 30/03/2011 23:16

nope MN was my first foray into forums and i liked it so much i've stayed! nothing like a good drunken Friday night bunfight to end the week!

(was here before under another name too so about 4 years now i think)

MosEisley · 30/03/2011 23:21

I've noticed an increase in hunning round here lately too, so YANBU.

On the other hand, I discovered netmums before I came here (two years ago) so perhaps I also qualify in your 50%?

However, I am (a) literate and (b) bluntly unsympathetic to silliness unless it is my own silliness, so I probably belong here.

sweetgilly · 30/03/2011 23:22

To everyone.

I repeat. What is 'hunning'?

TheVisitor · 30/03/2011 23:22

Here and badmothersclub, they're my forays into forumhood.

DramaInPyjamas · 30/03/2011 23:28

I've only been a member of Mumsnet, Forever Delayed and Digital Spy
Mumsnet is the only parenting forum I've used though.

sweetgilly

sweetgilly · 30/03/2011 23:35

DramaInPyjamas · 30/03/2011 23:38

AgentZigzag · 30/03/2011 23:38

YANBU Funnys, I've just seen the thread on 'booby feeding' Shock Grin

BabyDubsEverywhere · 30/03/2011 23:39

Just read a thread with a DARLING an a [HUGS]!!!

Sad act that I am, turned to my DH with a sharp intake of breath and declared 'netmumma'

BabyDubsEverywhere · 30/03/2011 23:43

Hunning: this term is applied to wiley mumsnetters hunting the internet for huns with sharp tongues and fast wit....a vital part of hunning is the hunilingous. This is the verbal method used to extropolate the huns from said internet....

BabyDubsEverywhere · 30/03/2011 23:43

and i have fat fingers that press any key they bloody well like it seems!

hardhatdonned · 30/03/2011 23:46

I spent my pregnancy on bounty but i swear i have never hunned a person on mumsnet i vomited at the mere mention of the word over there, then there was one woman who called everyone "huns" my innards became my outards.

PunkPixie · 31/03/2011 21:48

I've defected from Netmums. Found it all a bit samey and was told that this site offers a lot more. I've only just joined today and it's looking pretty good in here so far! It's a bit more grown up. On Netmums the mods are all over things. It's a pretty censored forum.

PunkPixie · 31/03/2011 21:49

I should add that "Hun" isn't part of my repertoire. :)
