i never realise when i have friend requests unless i actually glance over specifically at the request section.

also, some people intend to respond later and then forget they got the request.

Well maybe they have already decided not to accept your friend request. And have just deleted it. It doesn't have to be declined.

It you haven't spoken in 24 years, he probably doesn't count you as a friend!

I had no idea there was a time limit in having to accept, and that 5 days was too long. Not everyone looks at their email/facefeck ever day.

He may have:

• Already declined (I don't think you get a notification)

• Be lusting after you and too in awe to accept

or

• Not have checked his requests.

Either way, you are as mad as a box of frogs. :)
