Not really an AIBU (unless you think I am holding a b'day party for my 3yr DS)I just need some traffic.

What is a reasonable amount per head for party food and party bags for 3 - 6 yr olds.

I want to hold a b'day party for my son but don't want the cost to be excessive so want as much info as possible first.

Thanks

Know your overall budget first and then divide up accordingly.

It depends if you are doing it at home, or holding it somewhere else.

I didn't work out for per head or the same for party bags. Just spent what was necessary for there to be enough without going over the top.

a peice of cake each, a balloon, small colouring in book and crayons. maybe a wooden letter of the first letter of their name each.

or nothing and no one would notice anyway! childrens parties only get more expensive, dont spend when you dont need to lol

I had my DS's 3rd birthday yesterday and did not do party bags, but they each got a piece of cake and the games were fixed so each one a prize.

In asda they had toy story mini art sets reduced to 50p and a few other good quality things for prizes for 50p like a pot of thomas play doh with a stamper or cutter attached (there was also a lot of plastic tat).
