that I am considering getting off my large behind and going and doing some h*w*k? Grin

fizzyliftinggas · 22/02/2011 12:47

For goodness sake woman! DON'T DO IT!! Grin

manicbmc · 22/02/2011 12:50

I shall put on my tunnel vision goggles and only look at the clear bit of the carpet so that I don't get distracted from procrastinating.

fizzyliftinggas · 22/02/2011 12:51

Better....

fedupofnamechanging · 22/02/2011 12:53

Don't be silly. there is always something interesting on here somewhere.

manicbmc · 22/02/2011 12:53

I should be enjoying half term. No work to go to as I work in school. Dd is 16 and so is still in bed Hmm .

Aw forget the cleaning. I think I may have a long soak in the bath and read a book. Grin

FFS. Do some housework if it's something you don't usually do. Might make your behind less large and your house more pleasant to live in. Are you, in fact, depressed? Or do you not mind living somewhere with only a small patch of clear carpet.

Nowt wrong with procrastinating but living in shit while you subsist in a virtual world isn't really good for you. Or is it?

manicbmc · 22/02/2011 12:55

No - am definitely not depressed. Just slovenly. Grin

OP posts:
HettyAmaretti · 22/02/2011 12:57

Ah, good Grin

Structured Procrastination works for me.

Now, do half an hour of house work and then go and lay in the bath feeling sublimely virtuous.

manicbmc · 22/02/2011 13:01

That is a very good idea. A plan of action.

I shall make a list while I have a coffee.

Cant get off here either! I have declared a lazy day in and now feeling guiltyish.

Right will need to make lunch soon Cheese on toast lurrrvvely!!!

manicbmc · 22/02/2011 13:16

To be fair, the cleaning won't take long. It's the many phonecalls I have to make that I'm waivering over. I hate making phonecalls. I get tongue-tied.

I've made my list now and will work my way down.

OP posts:
kreecherlivesupstairs · 22/02/2011 13:24

We've got visitors coming tomorrow and I know I have to hoover and mop at some point, I just can't face doing it yet.
Silly really, I've got to take the car to be cleaned and hoovered, do the shopping, cook the dinner, collect the girl from school and I have sat on my BFA doing sweet fanny adams.

lovenamechange100 · 22/02/2011 13:29

High fives Kreecher

mumbar · 22/02/2011 13:39

lovename I did cheese on toast and felt rather proud of myself for doing DS a warm lunch on such a miserable day (weather wise). Grin

I did go out this morning and do need a food shop but having taken DS out on his bike to local (very cheap) cafe this morning I'm also sat on my a*!e. Wink

lovenamechange100 · 22/02/2011 13:51

Wow youlike superwomen mumbar compared to me - I was out yesterday though Hmm I havnt made it the cheese on toast - though I must confess we had this last night for too (DH away and we'd had loads on shopping trip) We have just had a snack of shortbread and crips/dips - stuff it I will whirl around with hoover and duster and prepare brocoli, cod and pots laters!

manic hows them phone calls comming along come on get yourself comfy - one phonecall one post on here challenge with a prize at the end!

manicbmc · 22/02/2011 14:08

We are all Supermum! Grin

I have done the bits of necessary cleaning. The teenager emerged and has cleared a bit of her -rubbish- essential stuff from the floor. I haven't made the calls yet. Although I have prioritised them.

OP posts:
manicbmc · 22/02/2011 14:08

lovenamechange100 · 22/02/2011 14:15

Thats prgress, hope youve ticked them off now! Grin now I would suggest if you need to ring any governmenr agency to do that first, then BT (if tis on your list)

So come one get cracking Grin

manicbmc · 22/02/2011 14:38

Are all government agencies. I'm trying to sort out a new tax credits claim as dp has recently moved in. Also despite knowing that ds is staying on at school post 16, his disability living allowance has been stopped. I might cheat a bit on this one and call welfare rights as the lovely lady who has helped me in the past is a lot more efficient at getting a straight answer from them.

OP posts:
lovenamechange100 · 22/02/2011 14:47

Please ring tax credits first, if you cant get through, try first thing at 8/830 when they open.

I had to tell them this last year, as long as you tell them within 30 days on your DP moving in you are ok - I did it via letter and i sent two copies recorded delivery to be sure.

They still overpaid me by three payments and didnt ask for it back for months then I try to ring them to sort it and cant get through. Yuk you have my sympathy

Hey theres nowt wrong with a little delegation. Or could you write a letter for this?

manicbmc · 22/02/2011 14:57

Just waiting for tax credits to get back. The claim has been in for about a month.

Dd has now gone off in a huff as I suggested she tidy her midden of a room. Said she wouldn't as she is on holiday Hmm so I said I'd happily go in there with a black bag and fill it with anything that is on the floor. This is apparently 'not fair'.

OP posts:
manicbmc · 22/02/2011 14:59

I had an overpayment (was an overpayment to the ex but I am liable for half). Luckily I got through straight away with that one and it's all sorted now.

OP posts:
tethersend · 22/02/2011 14:59

Make sure the first job on the list is make a list; then you can tick one off straight away.

manicbmc · 22/02/2011 15:01

That's a very good point. Grin

manicbmc · 23/02/2011 10:41

I have made my phonecalls. Finally.

Now I really need to have a bath as I stink. But next door but one's lovely moggy just wandered in as I was having a sly ciggie out the back and he's fallen asleep.
