last holidays were horrid.

The DDs are both going through a particularly vile teenager hormonal type stage. They hate each other, they hate me, they hate everything.

I used to love the holidays. We'd do lovely arty crafty stuff, feed the ducks, have picnics, go to the library, read books, swim, walk, jump in puddles and get muddy. It was lovely.

Now they won't do anything. except sleep late and bicker.

So I'm going to work all week and leave them to it.

Humph.

LOL - i feel like that with mine (6 and 4!), but sadly I'm a teacher and i damn well need a break from other peoples kids by half term..then find half term exhausting on top of me being exhausted!! I know a lot of my colleauges dread the 6 weeks 'off' !!!

When you say 'volunteer', does this mean you are a fully-fledged member of teh Big Society?

ha ha. No. I have 'volunteered' to do some extras and get paid to do them.
