I have read of several instances over the years of office workers being sacked for using the firms computer for private business.

One boss was said to have called a girl in and sacked her in front of all her mates.

I am out of office work now; so it makes me wonder what the rules are in respect of personal use of an office computer.

I suppose different firms have different rules and some have no rules at all. (Some may well even give permission for personal use in slack times.?)

I think this subject can be treated seriously for a while. Just educate on the question at issue. cheers "Gabby" ps BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE PERMISSION WHEN AT WORKY, WORKY

no, but some things in life are black and white. And adhering to company policy is one of them.

We are allowed to 'reasonably' use the internet for personal use. We have access to social networking too.
