Why do some parents have to compete with each other when it comes to their children ?

Toastie.
Penguins feet - It's to do with their blood flow.
Cats face - It needs a mouth to eat in order to survive. It needs an olfactory organ to assist it in it's quest for food to eat so that it can survive, and to help it sense danger, so that it can survive. It needs eyes for the same reasons. Ditto ears.

Everyone else. Biryani has hit the nail on the head. Parents (mums especially), when they have to give up a lot of things for the sake of their children, lose some of their sense of self-worth, which they reclaim by insisting that their child is the so speshul that it is worth the sacrifices they are making.

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 03/02/2011 23:07

Yes but they don't need to ba a face, eyeballs could be on top of ears and mouth at backside, so why has a cat got a face ??

TrillianAstra · 03/02/2011 23:20

Cats have faces cos of evolution.

Or so that they can look snide at you when they think you're not looking. That "you are my slave and yet you think you chose me, you foolish creature" look.

Undutchable · 03/02/2011 23:26

I like penguins. Espesh Pingu.

Pan · 03/02/2011 23:29

and yes, do a proper title, eh?

JaquesTouatte · 04/02/2011 00:35

Toastie, why have you got a face?

No, seriously, if you come out with shit like that all the time, I'm surprised no-one has re-arranged your features.....or have they?
