To want to stage a protest on Mumsnet to let us have one thread were we all can network and promte our businesses? Smile

I know this is against the rules so who is with me?

I am being a killjoy I know, but MN doesn't charge us all a subscription, it's a lifeline to many who couldn't pay if there were a subscription

and MN is dear to my heart

so I don't like to see people trying to screw it out of cash - I think if you want to promote your business on here you should pay the fee and not try to wriggle out of it!

I wonder what joinavon's name means?

I am not trying to screw anyone and i also like the site and find it very informative but i still like the idea of having one thread were we can all just promote for one day then it gets deleted.

I'd be up for it, but that's because I'm such a rebel! Grin

Only problem is, I don't have a business.

HecateQueenOfWitches · 02/02/2011 18:00

What made me start up on my own - being employed limits you. You'll never do better than your salary and you have a boss to answer to and I thought that having my own business would give me freedom, flexibility and far greater earning potential.

I will now pause while you laugh your head off Grin

I ran a care agency for several years. (very long and depressing story there!) still. we learned a LOT!

Now I am setting up in a totally different area. Just me. Web based. I saw a real gap in the market. In fact, I was searching for some information and couldn't find it and got really pissed off and I said to my husband, you know what, if nobody is providing this, I'll do it myself! So I am. Grin

My husband, who ran the care agency with me, has gone into a totally different area.

I think once you have been self employed, it's really hard to go back to being employed.

Same reasons as me. I worked for a recruitment consultancy and earned them a small fortune so I decided to do it myself.

Would your services benefit me? if so PM me the details (is that aload?)
