Thanks for letting us know about lush. I had nearly £2000 stolen from our account over christmas. Only seen it on statement in january. Make sure you check your accounts. Aren't they unbelievable?

eh?

FabbyChic · 22/01/2011 16:31

I hope you reported an anauthorised transaction with your card provider to reverse the payment.

bubblewrapped · 22/01/2011 16:31

Did Lush steal it Shock

Bogeyface · 22/01/2011 16:31

Flaming hell, it wouldnt take me this long to notice £2k missing from my account!

Good that you found out about it though. It is shitty that Lush didnt issue a warning about it.

3littlefrogs · 22/01/2011 16:32

I saw this in the paper today. They seem to have waited a long time before informing their customers. (Website hacked, customers' bank accounts raided).

Their stuff is horrid anyway

TheMonster · 22/01/2011 16:38

I love Lush but I've never bought online from them. I like the shops too much.

Porcelain · 22/01/2011 17:11

I just had to send this on to my mum feeling really guilty as she ordered from them for my birthday in November and only ever buys there for me. Sad

frgr · 22/01/2011 18:19

apparently they knew about it on christmas day. i can't have been affected as it autumn the last time i bought something there (any anyway i prefer to buy stuff in person to smell it Blush so only small transactions on there from me when they've been out of stock), i assume i'd have been told about it. or spotted something amiss on my account.

feel sorry for the poor customers who are now having to check all their bank details from the last few weeks.

and Bogeyface we wouldn't have £2k to go missing Grin if we did the bank would turn around and refuse it with an "oi oi this doesn't fit the customer profile/accou history" - thank god electronic transactions are monitored like this and sometimes catches out the fraudsters :)

Bogeyface · 22/01/2011 18:25

frgr, well there is also the fact that the 2K would have to be there in there in the first place before someone could pinch it from me! :o

But I can tell you what is in my bank to within £1 on any given day, I cant imagine how much I would need to have in the bank to not miss 2K until a month later!

3littlefrogs · 23/01/2011 11:18

I guess it depends how often people check their statements. I bank online, so I check frequently - some people may just rely on the monthly paper statement.
