I see this phrase on MN quite a lot. Actually almost every biscuit seems to have this phrase preceding it.

AIBU to think that there couldn't possibly be this many first time biscuits on any given day and that a few mumsnetters must be lying about still having their Biscuit Cherry?

Also why the need to announce it as your first? Does that make it better? An unsullied biscuit? As opposed to say, a soggy bicuit

Whats the bear all about? Has it some deep meaning I am missing?

I thought the biscuit was for a no comment. But I now think it is a way of saying yeah right, ok whatever. Am I right?

The bear is to do with the Pom Bear thread.. I didn't think it was al that funny but everyone else on mumsnet did apparently.

The Pom Bear came from a not all that funny thread about a dinner party at which the OPs H offered out said snack. I'm sure there'll be a link somewhere....

It's basically 'chill out'...a sort of ice breaker I suppose.

My interpretation of pombear is when something is a bit bonkers but in a good way.
