to always check AIBU?

When I log in to MN, I check Mumsnet Talk to see if there's anything catches my eye, but Almost Always, head straight for the AIBU thread to see what people are arguing and bitching talking about.

I kind of like the people who seem to hang out on this thread - real mix of peacemakers who always know the right things to say and attention seekers cracker jacks, whose nerve to be controversial and inflammatory I sometimes envy Smile

I spend time on MN most days, as with my job I have regularly periods of half an hour or so I have to kill, whilst waiting for studio sets, and various other things to happen before recordings. I prefer checking MN to flicking through a newspaper - at least we get reporting from real people! And we can say CUNT and not be censored!

I sometimes check other topics, if there's info I need, and I have noticed that some of the AIBU regulars crop up from time to time, in CM or bereavement threads etc, none of you seem to stray far!

After watching OBEM last night, I came on to AIBU to have a good ol' chat about it - but couldn't find any. There was a thread in TV , but none of you guys were on there. Not that I wanted to read anyone mouthing off about the prog, but a lively discussion is better when you know a little about the people contributing, i.e, who has kids, who has ongoing stories about DH/MIL/etc etc.

So this is a question about the question (AIBU)!
Do most of you mainly stay on this thread , and have a good old read through, or do you only come on here when you want to ask AIBU/check response to your post ??

there are only 3 threads I regularly use on MN

they are (in his order)

  1. relationships

  2. chat

  3. AIBU

I occasionally foray into other areas if something catches my eye in Active Conversations.

I very rarely start my own threads though.

this order

I used to - but now I just go onto Active Convos and click on the ones that appeal the most.

Same as AF. I find it takes all day to get through it all, so don't have time to regularly look at other parts of MN

I'm always on AIBU, occasionally chat and very occasionally the dog house (dog owners' board). I sat down last night and had a stern chat with myself about not being on Mumsnet so much, but its like a really good conversation.

Smile at Mrs NonSmoker!

It can get addictive! I think I was DBVU last week when telling someone 'give us another 10 minutes, the computers playing up, whilst catching up with the tail end of the 'Pom and the little baby' thread (slapped wrist for me!)
