For DH to clean when he gets up? May encourage him to try harder at hitting the loo.
Or am I just being a slattern?

Depends on whether you have kids who will play in it.

MsKLo · 09/01/2011 10:48

dirty man!

poor you!

Carrotsandcelery · 09/01/2011 10:48

The thing is, will he notice or care?

Needanewname · 09/01/2011 10:48

I would personally leave it with the cleaning things next to the loo so that he can see.

MyChildrenHaveHorns · 09/01/2011 10:51

It's down the side, behind the loo, so really need to get down there. Kids can't reach it. He won't notice, but I will tell him.

Piggles · 09/01/2011 11:01

I had a roomate while at Uni who was crap at aiming and regularly peed on the floor and toilet - blehhh.

I decided to shame him in the end by sticking a notice to the underside of the toilet seat with arrows and the words: 'John, pee goes in here!!!' I may have done it when his new girlfriend was due to come and stay [evil emoticon]

But I think cleaning supplies beside the loo and a note asking that he either aim better or start mopping up his own disgusting wee splashes is not unreasonable.

squarehat · 09/01/2011 11:04

YANBU leave it and let him do it. Migt make him aim better next time :)

LornMowa · 09/01/2011 11:13

My brother who is 6'4" says that he sits down to pee to avoid this problem. Perhaps all boys should be trained to do this unless they are using a urinal.

YANBU.

GooseFatRoasties · 09/01/2011 11:57

YANBU

Goblinchild · 09/01/2011 11:58

Give him a ping pong ball in the loo to aim at.
Worked for my DS when he was three.

charliesmommy · 09/01/2011 11:59

If its down behind the loo, I would check that it isnt a leak in the bend pipe.

Goblinchild · 09/01/2011 11:59

Oh, and YANBU. He should be cleaning up his own mess.

Millenniumbug · 09/01/2011 12:39

My eldest (12) gets up every night to wee & misses. How do I make him more accurate??

FudgeGirl · 09/01/2011 12:42

Make him sit down.

mutznutz · 09/01/2011 12:43

Make your 12yr old clean it up every morning...that ought to improve his aim Wink

InspirationalBreadbin · 09/01/2011 13:34

YANBU but I bet he won't notice or care.

Carrotsandcelery · 10/01/2011 23:17

Did they notice/react/care?

borderslass · 10/01/2011 23:32

I get annoyed that DH and DS get it all over the seat I've even left the seat up for them after cleaning the bathroom and they just put it down before using,DH said if he left it up i'd moan.

mamas12 · 10/01/2011 23:36

How would he like it if you pee ed on his car seat ask him.
Tell him to clean his own mess up.

LOL @ MadamDeathstare's tomcat comment Grin

Yeah, I agree with the others... suggest he sits down. Put a note about the loo to remind him.

At one office I worked in, there was a woman who we shall call Angela who was always saying, "Oh no, I would never sit down on one of those awful toilets, I always hover". Anyway, every time she used the loo, she peed on the seat. So I put a bloody great big sign above the loo that said:

"If you are fussy enough not to sit on the toilet seat, then please be fussy enough not to pee on it. Thank you".

She never spoke to me again.

WilheminaAteHer · 11/01/2011 03:50

MadamDS, a gardener in Regent's Park in London has wittily planted one of those outside the loos! Grin

Btw OP, YADNBU. What a slob.

queenofallshesurveys · 11/01/2011 04:21

what about one of these? or possibly one of these?

MyChildrenHaveHorns · 11/01/2011 10:10

Well, DH wiped it up without complaint. But it turns out that the loo is leaking slightly. Whoops, poor DH lol.
