to want a payrise.

Still waiting for a payrise from April 2010. We were offered 0.5% which I'm fine with, anything is better than nothing in this climate. But the union won't accept it, no idea what's happening, other than we're still waiting.

As I'm ok with accepting the rise and I'm not a union member am I unreasonable to be annoyed that they're preventing me from getting my pay rise.

My dad had this and ended up losing 2% of a payrise because the union stepped in. He knew what was going to be offered before hand so was not happy when the union "helped". He wasn't a member either. He actually went to the manager and negotiated his own rise - higher than the rest of the team!

YANBU at all seeing as you are not a member of the Union & therefore in no way connected to the process..Just put everything in writing so that no words can get twisted AND please be grateful for even still having a job.

I am in the process of postponing all pension direct-debits, begging with the council tax to work out a fairer way to take their payment & am selling my car due to being made redundant 2 weeks before Christmas.

Good luck.

Well, if you have refused and will continue to refuse any pay rise that has been/may be increased through the negotiations of the union, then no.
I doubt that is the case though.
