Having seen multiple poor reviews of this company (with some people suggesting they are verging on being a financial scam) on mumsnet and other sites, AIBU to wonder why on the mumsnet discount code page, there is an advert/code for them? They don't sound like a reputable company at all.

I had no idea the company had poor reviews. I ordered a Tripp Trapp chair recently and it was delivered quickly and efficiently. We were happy with the whole process. Perhaps things have changed?

I have never used them following the reviews of them which I found quite worrying.

See this thread for starters. If you google Bambino Direct customer service and/or scam you can find more.

Like others, I feel duty bound to warn others away from Bambino Direct and have joined mumsnet just to add to the thread of comments on this dreadful company. I wish I'd googled Bambino Direct and looked for reviews on mumsnet before stupidly ordering from them on price.

I have recently had a bad experience with them which has left me feeling v angry Angry

I ordered a car seat which arrived damaged. We couldn't open the box until a few days after it arrived and then discovered the isofix fitting on one side was smashed - great.
After several 'emessages' and phone calls to - rude - Bambino staff I was told that because we had not informed them of the damage within 48 hours of receiving the seat we now had to return the seat - by courier - and they would then send out a replacement! A courier to return a seat of 8kg will cost between £50-200!!!!Shock

I rang Consumer Direct who inform me that Bambino Direct are in breach of contract and have unfair T's and C's in terms of 48hr notification of damage. By law you have a 7 day cool off period if you decide you don't like something, but if it's damaged then it is breach of contract and they have to replace it with an item fit for purpose.

I have written to the company so we'll see what happens. The stupid thing is they provide free delivery and all I want is for them to pick up the damaged one at the same time as they bring the replacement - so it's a trip they'll be doing anyway.

The staff are truly rude and unhelpful and I feel very silly Blush for shopping with them because they offered a low price. I've learnt my lesson and will go with reputable traders in future even if significantly more expensive.
