for a couple to send a photo christmas card of themselves (not kids), presumably to all friends and family.

We have just received (snow post delays) a card from some friends of ours who have sent us a cheesy picture of them both, inserted into one of those photo xmas cards.

I always thought that those cards were only really used for proud parents to send photos of their precious DCs to distant Aunts or GPs.

I would NEVER send a photo of me and DH pulling cheesy 'we're in love' grins, to all my (some not so close) friends. Its wierd isn't it?

(Friends have been together for approx 10years, and married for 5 btw).

What do you send to them? And do they have children? If they receive cutesy photos of your DCs, it's possible they are getting their own back. Otherwise, they could just be vomit-inducing sweet.

Yeah it's not that odd...it's quite nice really especially if you don't see them all the time Smile

Apropos of nothing, I have a christmas card on my shelf with three lovely flame haired children on it. They are not dressed nicely and one of them looks like they haven't brushed their teeth in a month.

I haven't the faintest idea who they are.

I only ever send photos of the DCs to GPs and other (mostly elderly) relations who have asked for them, and who don't see the DCs much.

I certainly don't send them to all my friends. I only ever send the friends in question a bog standard Xmas card.

Mutznutz - I don't see these friends very often, but see plenty of photos of them on fb!

my aunt and uncle do this, i always thought it was a canadian thing but thinking about it now, my aunt is a hobby photographer so that could explain it.

it doesn't bother me. i like seeing her updated photos of them and their dog! Grin

Hmmm, I don't think it's odd as such then, they are probably just a really sickening couple who thinks everyone is interested in how much they love each other. On the one hand, something like that is very sweet, on the other, it's like sticking fingers down your throat.

Meunscrabbly...that's the funniest thing I've read in ages!! FPMSL Grin
