Quidditch for Muggles

Forget football on a sunday morning this looks more fun

Nah, the muggle version looks boring. I'd rather play the real thing.

atswimtwolengths · 30/12/2010 20:54

Me too! I've always wanted to play quidditch, ever since first reading about it.

BertieBottlesOfMulledWine · 30/12/2010 20:54

I want! Grin

TheMeow · 30/12/2010 21:04

It's about the only sport I fully understand the rules on.

Although according to Quidditch Through The Ages there are 700 ways to commit a foul so it may be more confusing than we muggles think.

Mists · 30/12/2010 21:23

Is it true that the game only ends when the golden snitch is caught? If so then there's no point in the scoring system surely?

Perissa · 30/12/2010 21:30

You have to catch the Snitch to end the game, but it is only worth 50 or 100 points (can't remember which!). So if your team are more than 50 or 100 points behind, even if you catch the Snitch you will still lose.

Mists · 30/12/2010 21:31

Ah, I see - thank you.

SnowyGonzalez · 30/12/2010 21:31

You saw QI last night, didn'tcha?

In which case, YES YABU because even Daniel Radcliffe admitted that Muggles' Quidditch sounds dull as hell.

Been there done that. about 10 years ago we were playing unicycle quiditch. rules may be found at www.uk.unicyclist.com/quidditchrules/rules.html pics? who knows, it was long time ago.

Perissa · 30/12/2010 21:39

That's ok, I know more about Harry Potter than is strictly healthy I think.

potplant · 30/12/2010 21:41

Snowy - but he's played real quidditch so it's bound to seem boring Wink.
