What can I say he really contributes to the popularity of the programme. He is great, witty, funny, happy most of the time, a really nice family sort of guy. Without him the show would not be the same.

He can't do DIY tho Grin

nameymacnamechanger · 22/12/2010 19:32

Mummy pig and daddy pig crack me up. You just know that when mummy pig is busy 'working' on her computer she is actually mumsnetting. Grin

prettyfly1 · 22/12/2010 19:34

snort. I love the one where the french zebra comes over and daddy pig gets confused over the split infinity. Best kids programme ever.

headfairy · 22/12/2010 19:35

I love mummy pig's withering put downs to daddy pig

TrinityMotherOfRhinos · 22/12/2010 19:35

one of the programs I dont mind my dcs loving along with hollys kingdom thingy

twirlymum · 22/12/2010 19:35

Strangely, Father Christmas in Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom sounds very much like him......
DS hasn't noticed though Xmas Grin

Daddy Pig always makes me think of this actor
here

pigletmania · 22/12/2010 19:35

No he is not good at DIY, the one with him demonlising the wall is very funny. Love their idea of work, bashing the computer doing random things Grin. Yes I thing her work is MN, thats the excuse i use to my dd 3 when I am MN Wink

pigletmania · 22/12/2010 19:38

JingleTits · 22/12/2010 19:38

and i might add Peppa is a little brat, dont you think?

Mrsmackie · 22/12/2010 19:39

Peppa Pig and Ben & Holly do share some of the same voices!

strawberrie · 22/12/2010 19:40

We love Daddy Pig in this house as well - particularly his sneaking the chocolate cake into the trolley at the supermarket, and lying on the sofa watching TV when he's supposed to be doing sit-ups.

Oh, and the one where all the daddies have a barbecue while the mummies are at the fire station, and they set the BBQ on fire.

pigletmania · 22/12/2010 19:40

She is quite rude to her dad, a bit pretentious. I watch like the programme because its got daddy pig in, without it i would not be too keen.

Oh Strawberrie arent those the best episodes, and the hot day one where they pour water over daddy pig, and the DIY one too. I love the way when daddy pig gets his boots on he does a little dance before jumping in the muddy puddle.

The BBQ Fire one is one of the best along with the Fairground one where Mummy Pig shows all the silly men how good she is at everything.

Ben & Holly is fab too with Acorn Day episode being the best so far. Nanny Plum is voiced by Miss Rabbit from Peppa

pastaplease · 22/12/2010 19:45

Isn't Mrs Rabbit and Nanny Plum voiced by the same person? Both are my fave characters!

pastaplease · 22/12/2010 19:46

Ah, X post!

AllOverIt · 22/12/2010 19:46

I was about to say, Daddy Pig, Miss Rabbit and Nanny Plum are brilliant characters. Mainly because I love the actress's voice who plays Miss Rabbit and Miss Plum.

So funny!

Sassyfrassy · 22/12/2010 19:46

I love the episode where Daddy Pig does his puddle jumping and is a zen puddle jumping master. "I must be at one with the muddy puddle". Fabulous line.

pigletmania · 22/12/2010 19:50

I love Miss Rabbit too, she is very enterprising, the runs the: Fire service, Museum, Bus driver, library, ice cream stand, swimming pool, infact all the services in Peppaland. How does she divid herself between everything Confused

mozette · 22/12/2010 19:54

Its not just one Miss Rabbit - there are loads of Miss Rabbits! I'm sure I saw an episode just recently where you got to see loads of them?

Stase · 22/12/2010 19:54

My DH takes a bit of offence at Daddy Pig, feels his character is stereotyped unfavourably! I sort of see his point, but there's such a balance to redress on that score, I feel we can let that one go Grin

Sassyfrassy · 22/12/2010 19:55

There was one episode where miss rabbit was ill and her sister, Mummy Rabbit had to work in the supermarket and others tried to take over her other jobs. They couldn't cope and all rushed to Miss Rabbit's house =)

mozette · 22/12/2010 19:56

I must have dreamt the episode I saw then - that is obviously a sign that I am watching far too much Peppa Pig!

spandexqueen · 22/12/2010 20:03

As someone with no DCs, I was introduced to Peppa pig when visitng my lovely godson 2 weeks ago.

AIBU to think children will be growing up with the belief that pigs have 2 eyes on one side of their face, and the snout on the opposite side Shock

Tis not right.
