.. I posted this is pregnancy but no one has replied, just wondered if anyone can shed any light??

I seen on the news that pregnant women should have the vaccination for swine flu but i actually had swine flu last year and was given tamiflu.. would i still need to be vaccinated? Im 22 weeks pregnant?

i dont think you can get it twice as your antigens would do the same as the vaccine...

the swine flu jab made me VERY ill :(

Thanks Shirley, i thought that too, just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat.

Ive heard thats quite common to get really ill from having it, thats why i dont want to hhave it if not totally neccessary..

I'm pretty sure that because Swine Flu is a virus, it mutates constantly - therefore the strain last year will almost certainly be different to this year's dominant strain... check with your doc, but I'd imagine you'd be offered a vaccination. Whether you accept the offer or not is a completely different question though...
