DD is fundraising for her World Challenge trip next year. She's working hard and doing well.

Her aunty has made her a patchwork quilt to sell/raffle and help raise money. It's a thing of beauty and definitely worth quite a bit - very talented aunty - so we could do with some good ideas about how best to use it to raise funds.

Can anyone help?

We don't belong to a church or similar group and I work from home so don't have a lot of office colleagues to tempt with pictures etc.

We've thought of eBay but whilst you can raise quite a lot there, there is always the risk that it doesn't get noticed and is sold as a 'bargain'.

We really want to make the most of SIL's generous gift. It represents a LOT of work and it's so lovely we're reluctant to part with it (except it's not ours to keep...).

Anyone out there with brilliant ideas?

What about doing a drawing of it and "selling" each square for £1 or however much depending on how many squares there are and picking one name out of a hat to win the quilt?

Thanks Just Beachy - sounds a good idea.
