I just don't understand why she's so successful on the box. Or the radio. But then I've never understood the appeal of Terry Wogan either.

NO no I meant this isn't commonist as she isn't posh - god got up too early and no heating in this god forsaken house.

YANBU, there is something v unpleasant about her. She looks a bit mean.

I like her.

She shows it's OK to be different, and I really like her quirky dress sense. It's up to her whether she has tattoos or not (personally, I'm not keen on them), and I think it would be very unfair to blame her if your DC got a tattoo.

I don't dislike her. I think she could be quite funny/entertaining in future years.She just hasn't got much to say really - she's so young. She's not in the same league as Sara Cox for instance.

She just doesn't ever said anything interesting.

Also, she is very sycophantic to anyone she is interviewing.

I hate her too, not sure why maybe it's because she is false? No hang on, I do know why - she doesn't come across as remotely bright but speaks as though she is saying things of great importance and I should hang off her every word.

I wouldn't exactly pin all the blame on her for tattoos (argh spelling!), that would be unfair, but I just feel that if children see one of their role models with them, they will more easily accept the idea that it's OK to have them. This could be a life-limiting error for them, or just a permanent embarassment, which is what I have a bit of a problem with.

Sara Cox has grown on me - I quite like her now. I'm hating the radio 1 drive time show with "I'm a twat" whatever his name is. He can't carry the show on his own he just can't.

Ferne..... I like that she LIKES music. It is radio after all. But her voice seriously grates on me. Sorry Ferne.

Sara Cox can be quite funny at times so I don't mind her. Although saying that I rarely listen to the radio- I might think differently if I had to listen to her every day. Same goes for Edith Bowman.

edith is lovely and what about her T's? it's very common not pronounce t's from her part of the world - it's a bit of an affliction for us - nothing cool about it.

Fifers are perfectly able to pronounce their ts - got friends from there, and DH works over there. They all seem to manage fine - perhaps they just don't feel the need to inflict their affliction on others

I've only ever heard Fearne on the radio once and it was in the waiting room when my midwife's appointments were running 30 mins late. I registered my highest ever blood pressure reading that day!! God, she's so utterly vapid, but like IGMB says, talks like you should find her fascinating, even if it's an utterly nothing anecdote about going to her nan's for tea the night before with her sister and watching TV with a blanket over them, IIRC. Definitely makes my hand itch.
