To think that DH could play quietly?

Honestly, it's like having an overgrown toddler.

When he plays Xbox there is just a constant stream of shouting, swearing, huffing and puffing and bashing of the controller in to the chair. It drives me INSANE. I can't even sit in the same room. I tried to read the paper in there for a bit today and he just keeps on and on and it makes me jump he is so loud and sweary I just can't concentrate on what I am reading.

I can hear it upstairs too and it this does make me sound a bit precious but I can't relax with the noise all the time.

I ask him to stop and he manages for maybe 10 minutes but he can't keep it up. I feel banished from my own living room.

I am 40+1 today but don't even think it's the hormones as it has always driven me nuts.

Surely he can be responsible for this and if he wants to play, to do so without all the noise?

That would really annoy me too. Have you asked him to stop?

pigletmania · 14/11/2010 17:01

Sounds like my dh Grin. And and he had a headset rather like pilots wear and thought that he was the bees knees, i heard him talking and thought that he was talking to me when i opened the door he was online gaming. And years ago when the xbox 2 came out, he queued all night for one Grin

pigletmania · 14/11/2010 17:02

since dd came along though he is not doing so much gaming.

I ask him to stop and he manages for maybe 5 minutes! Mind you, just had an epic rant about it so I am hoping some of that has gone in or one day the bloody Xbox is going through the window.

Yup yup he has the headset too and now half the time I can't tell if he is talking to me or not.
