so most mornings I set the breakfast table before I go to work...
and on Monday Mrs Stubborn came into the kitchen while I was arranging the variety packs of cocopops napkins and said
'Ah, there you are Stubborn, dear, btw the children asked me to tell you: when you set the table please could you NOT put the milk out, but rather leave it in the fridge. Because, you seem the milk warms up a little, and they prefer it icy cold'
I just couldn't help welling up all teary 
- apparently they have been putting up with too-warm milk all these years, not liking to complain 
until last week, when one of them left a little note outside the bedroom door with their dirty shoes.
