To find the school run so stressful?!

I hate it and find it really stressful, especially when the kids start playing up as soon as they're out of bed! Might be because I have a 5 yr old, 2 yr old and am 8 months pregnant though.....

I fully feel your pain, I have a 5yr old, 3 yr old and 16 month old, its awful, no matter how organised I get, it never helps, this morning dd1 had some sort of a breakdown at being given some purple cords to wear, when I was 8 months with my last baby my mum had to do the school run for the last 3 weeks, I just got them dressed and pushed them out of the door....bliss!

I'm with you! I have a 4 (nearly 5yo) my sisters 2yo and am 29weeks preg.

My DD has ALWAYS been a heavy sleeper which was great till school started. Now each morning is a nightmare!!

School needs to start abaout 11 am :o

I agree with you, that's why I don't do it!

I can understand her breakdown at purple cords Grin

In an otherwise normally disorganised household "The School Run" is the only thing I am meticulously organised about, because if I'm not all hell breaks loose.

I have to get a 6 year old to school, A 2 year old to nursery ( which is a car drive from the school) and me to work all before 9.15am and the days I do not stick to my timetable I am , quite frankly. buggered!

This is not easy as I am naturally chaotic and last minute by nature but the alternative does not bear thinking about Wink

i hate it, DS had just started reception and i am dreaming of DD being at secondary school - only another 10 years or so, when it'll all be over. and i don't even have the excuse of being pregnant or working either.

To be fair to dd, the purple cords are pretty vile, but they were clean and ironed and her beloved skinny jeans were not, she sulked the whole way to school, mum, I look stuuuuppiiddd, they are so bright Grin
