To chase DP out of kitchen.....

Everytime he does this, EVERY single sodding time. Grrrrrrrr!!!!

As soon as I go to the kitchen to do anything he decides he needs to be in there fannying around as well.

He's been sat on his backside all day playing playstation until I went to the kitchen to make him the sodding sausage rolls he asked for

I like to listen to my ipod while in there to relieve the tedium and he is in there every two mins. We have a small house and he stands in the kitchen with the back door open and just stares at me until I turn the ipod off and talk to him.

If I get irate he gets all hurt and offended - now he's in there having a shave....AAAAAAARRRRGGGGH

Thanks for listening to petty rant.....feels better.....!

He's shaving in your kitchen?

marriednotdead · 31/10/2010 17:56

Noooo! That sounds so wrong.

Hairy sausage rolls

Mumcentreplus · 31/10/2010 17:58

maybe he's shaving out the back-door..Hmm

edam · 31/10/2010 17:58

sounds like a puppy following you around. Are you sure he's a bloke and not a labrador? Grin

SuePurblybilt · 31/10/2010 18:00

Shaving in your kitchen while you're making pastry? Yuck.

roundtable · 31/10/2010 18:07

Ha ha, that reminds me of my DH, he loves to dcide to give a massive cuddle from behinds as I'm pulling something out or putting something in the oven, trying to put in pasta, whilst thickening a sauce and putting on veg or - the best one - while I'm dishing up! Then gets very hurt that I'm rejecting his affection!

edam def right about the labrador comment!

While we're on this subject, does anyone elses DH/DP ask them where you're going when you get up to go to the loo? So annoying. I tell him I'm leaving him and setting up home with my boyfriend!

Oh and my favourite, when I'm in the bathroom trying to tweezer out those old lady hairs that have started to appear past 28 having him banging on the door asking what I'm doing. Do I telling I'm getting rid of my moustache/plucking out errant nose hairs? I think I might!

Men in kitchens is the thin end of the wedge. Let men stand in kitchens watching willy-nilly and we get abominations like Marcus Pierre White, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Gordon Ramsay.... have we learned nothing?

BibiBlocksberg · 31/10/2010 18:21

First batch of hairy sausage rolls are in the oven Grin
Lol at the Labrador - he's always been a bit of a clingy puppy whereas I like my space. Makes me feel like a right a right cow at times though :(

YADNBU
We have a stairgate to our galley, plus a glass pannel door,, after a few years of getting distracted whilst trying to also keep a conversation with him and getting burnt/cut at the same time, i've just got to the point where if he lingers unwantedly i shut the door on him.

Works a treat Smile

Just wanted to add quickly - sausage rolls are from the new Jamie Oliver 30 min cook book.

Bung a pack of chipolatas into a puff pastry sheet, brush with egg, sprinkle sesame seeds on top - I don't like s. rolls but looooove these.

Most of them never make it into DP's lunchbox cos they're sooooo good straight from the oven.

Sorry to blow own trumpet but they're so easy and tasty felt compelled to share Grin

Am jealous, my house is a pork free zone (DH major issue) and I really fancy one now Envy

BibiBlocksberg · 01/11/2010 17:25

I'll stick some in a tupperware pot and post to you marriednotdead :) :)

You'll just have to wolf them down when he's out of the house :)

Bibi- try spreading some mustard/chutney (whatever takes your fancy) on the puff pastry before adding the chipolatas. Yummy twist.

marriednotdead · 01/11/2010 17:29

Aah bless, thanks Bibi.

I have a secret sausage habit (at work) lately so not suffering too badly Grin

marriednotdead · 01/11/2010 17:30

That sounds far naughtier than it is Grin
