It drives me mad- I'm starting to think it's hereditary, DP is just as bad as FIL.. here are some examples from today
MIL- oh hedge, FIL wants a word.
FIL- hullo, you know that book I lent you? Well I've given it to my sister to read
me- oh great, does she like it?
FIL- I dunno she hasn't read it yet
me-oh...how are you?
FIL- fine yes.....
Me-how are the dogs?
FIL- ........ fine.
Me-good.
FIL-....................
Me-doing much today?
FIL- no, I'm just eating a sandwich......
me-right well...must dash
FIL-ok..........
