To still go on holiday?

DS (11 monhts) had a bout of sickness on Weds and now seems fully recovered, but I succumbed with D&V last night and now DP is upstairs in the bathroom too. I have not been sick again since last night - bit of D this morning but although still feeling ropey I am feeling better than I did. So I think it is only a 12-24 hour thing.

We are supposed to be flying out tomorrow to Portugal to join family for the week - should we still go? DP says year - but I am not too sure, especially if this is something different from what DS and he then gets it.

What is the consensus?

DP says Yes! Not Year!

I would

If it seems to be over in a day or so, you should be fine by the time you travel.

Sassybeast · 22/10/2010 16:12

You will potentially infect a plane full of people - no way would I go unless all of you are 48 hours clear. No way could I have that on my conscience.

Hedgeblunder · 22/10/2010 16:14

Could you not delay by one day?

Deliaskis · 22/10/2010 16:20

It depends how you are later and in the morming. f there's any sign of being ill at the airport you may not be allowed to fly.

If we delayed by one day - would we just have to rebook flights and pay again?

Have a look at your terms and conditions....some airlines don't let you and some do.

proudnscary · 22/10/2010 16:47

I'd go yes

Mummy2Bookie · 23/10/2010 12:08

Yes do go. All mums deserve a holiday

Mummy2Bookie · 23/10/2010 12:09

P.s don't tell the airline Grin

curlymama · 23/10/2010 12:19

I would delay by at least a day. You may be fine and be ready to get on with your holiday when you get there, but what if you pass it onto someone else and their holiday is ruined?
