I mean I love NetaPorter as much as anyone.

And often shop from there (when I have the £).

But IABU to be surprised this has sold out?

I shall be looking for one on the school run Grin

ROFL I so want to run and jump at someone wearing one of those!

blametheparents · 20/10/2010 19:14

Not keen, perhaps they only ever had one of them?!

thisisyesterday · 20/10/2010 19:15

i was going to say that too blametheparents

although, it'd still be surprising even then lol

DuelingFanjo · 20/10/2010 19:16

At the price alone I am Shock

BertieBasset · 20/10/2010 19:17

I could make you one for a tenner

It will involve dustbin bags and bubble wrap, that's all I'm prepared to say Grin

pooka · 20/10/2010 19:17

God it looks like blackadder's jerkin!

sharbie · 20/10/2010 19:18

bet they had only one and sold it to posh Smile

monkeyfacegrace · 20/10/2010 19:19

Its lovely, I heart net a porter.

NorbertDentressangle · 20/10/2010 19:20

Teamed with the right accessories you could look as if you are channelling your inner Lady Gaga on the school run.

You are right though, its hideous

pigletmania · 20/10/2010 19:21

Just because its in fashion does not mean its nice. And over 1k for that awful monstrosity Shock

discobeaver · 20/10/2010 19:22

I think if you were 18 with long legs and a skinny waist it would look great. Otherwise you might end up looking like a gothic party balloon.

ChippingIn · 20/10/2010 19:23

It looks like a fat suit.... it's not something I'll be needing wearing anytime soon, not even at a tenth of the price!!

GingerCursedEeeee · 20/10/2010 19:26

I think the time of year could be a factor you know Wink

GingerCursedEeeee · 20/10/2010 19:27

that should have said [hwink]

LittleRedPumpkin · 20/10/2010 19:29

I do like the stuffed and pointed boobs. Oh yes.

FakePlasticTrees · 20/10/2010 19:31

oh I need to own that.

MarshaBrady · 20/10/2010 19:51

Ha at you all.

It's the superhero boobs that do it for me. I could probably handle the rest.

ray81 · 20/10/2010 20:32

Actually i find its nice and warm, I have it in bright pink. [hgrin]

QuizteamBleakley · 20/10/2010 20:46

Have you fully checked the hyperbole additional sales blurb: "shown here with Acne boots..." Who doesn't need some Acne boots?! [hgrin]

MissMarjoriBanshee · 20/10/2010 20:53

What about this at over £5k, sold out in a size 10. Shock

BootyMum · 20/10/2010 21:02

Ooooh, the Versace dress is fantastic dahling! But would probably have to be a supermodel to be able to wear it or afford it... Not for me then Smile

LittleRedPumpkin · 20/10/2010 21:02

Classy.

Oddly enough, when I was shopping for my wedding dress and therefore in Selfridges as opposed to the usual cheapy shops, I came across a load of black-veiled Middle Eastern ladies who started trying on the most incredibly tarty gear ... they'd have loved that dress.

MarshaBrady · 20/10/2010 21:05

Yes the Versace dress and the coat would be perfect together.

I'm thinking harvest assembly or parents' evening.

I am always confounded by prices like these, I have to say. I just don't understand why people would spend 500 quid on a scarf, even if they had the money and were really cold. What do they have to prove?

I can't quite explain it, as I am not jealous of people who dress like this, but it almost makes me angry to look at things which cost so much more than what it costs to produce them.

My DH thinks there should be an obscenity tax for items such as these - if you have the money and want to buy them, fine, but acknowledge that in fact it is obscene and be prepared to pay extra.

There are some really beautiful pieces though, not arguing that.

ChippingIn · 21/10/2010 14:37

Abfab - I like your DH's idea - maybe the money could be sent directly to the people who now cannot afford to buy shoes for their kids.... it has merit Grin
