I should hope so too, after spending £200m in one summer. Well done Grin

lollipopshoes · 17/10/2010 18:14

sounds like it was quite close though! Shock

TechLovingDad · 17/10/2010 18:16

Money well spent, then.

emptyshell · 17/10/2010 18:19

I know the feeling - I'm a Sunderland fan and we had a glorious summer last year of Magpie baiting when the "Geordie Nation" got relegated.

The guy who took over one of the shop fronts and made Alan Shearer's £1 shop (Duff was 99p) was fantastic, someone changed all the Newcastle Brown Ale signs to Newcastle DOWN Ale... we had a flag hanging off the Tyne bridge that lasted about 5 mins into morning rush hour and a sign pointing to the only premier league stadium in the North East at one point... aah fun times.

They'd do exactly the same to us too though - the glory of regional football rivalry.

keepingupwiththejoneses · 17/10/2010 18:19

techlovingdad thank god there is a red defending us.
It has been a st few months both on and off the pitch, now we have new ownership maybe we can start winning again.
Robson is playing a terrible team though, hasn't got to grips with who works where.

DeadBodyofKaraStarbuckThrace · 17/10/2010 18:19

"The logo of Liverpool's John Lennon airport has the motto 'Above us only sky...' apparently someone has added 'Below us only Wolves and West Ham'"

This is now inaccaurate. It is now only West Ham

Grin
TechLovingDad · 17/10/2010 18:20

Robson?

We'll never get better with Uncle Roy, he's out of his depth. Bring back Kenny, shortterm anyway)

RustyBear · 17/10/2010 18:27

Yes, DeadBody, that's why I said they would have to cross out Wolves....

keepingupwiththejoneses · 17/10/2010 22:17

Sorry tech I am blonde! Yes bring back Kenny, Roy did look out of his depth today, new owner looked into the game though but we will have to see. We have had a run of bad luck what with injuries as well, don't think Torres was 100% either.

WilfShelf · 17/10/2010 22:18

lollipop! I'm with you. Ha.

tweetymum · 18/10/2010 06:47

Ah you guys, spare a thought for us Gunners!!! We play some of the best football in the league and no trophies for five years... bah!!

At least we play good football (wonders how long we can hold on to that one) Blush

lollipopshoes · 18/10/2010 08:29

dementedma · 18/10/2010 09:50

LMAO - DH is a die-hard Evertonian and boy was he a happy bunny yesterday! Says the Liverpool team should get advice from the chilean miners - they are good at surviving in the depths below everyone else and could have advice on how to get yourself out of a big hole!!Smile

whenskiesaregrey · 18/10/2010 13:38

I have only just seen this thread...

Agents Hicks and Gilette- Mission Accomplished. God Bless America Wink

whenskiesaregrey · 18/10/2010 13:39

TechLovingDad · 19/10/2010 17:52

At least we can laugh at Rooney v Ferguson now. Quality viewing.

GoreRenewed · 19/10/2010 17:56

Of course yabu!

Caboodle · 19/10/2010 21:39

As a Man city fan I am feeling your joy and, obviously, am having a really good day today watching the red half of our fair city suffer. Red was never one of my favourite colours. Shall we crack open the wine whilst we watch the other lot squirm?
