to wonder how I will ever get an interview for a job...

(apologies to Emkana for the ... Grin)

when every position lcoally seems to guarantee an interview to people under LEP (unemployed or at threat of being unemployed) and being a carer doesn't count?

Found a job I could do today, they already have 60 people to see under LEP guaranteed rules, can;t see me.

Argh.

I don't want to stay on benefits any less than them!

(I know I can sign on but I still wouldn;t count as it ahs to be minimum 6 months as I do nto live in a priority ward)

I applied for anything and everything, even stuff that I had no experience of or had never considered.

I've got a new job that I start next month in a call centre (never done that before) for a building society (never even considered that before) through an agency. I must have sent out 50 or 60 applications but that position was the first through an agency and they emailed me back within a few days.

PM me if you want the agencies name as I'm worried if I post it, i'll be pulled for advertising! Smile

I am trying that, but I am very limited with my caring responsibilities- agency wo';t touch me as I can't tick the 'any hours' box or accept temp work. An applying for jobs between call centre and researcher (doing an MA) and I would take anything except care work as I think care work (which I have done before) would be upsetting with a child who will need care later on.
