Anyone got the patience to tell me what happened on first half hour of Spooks on Mon? Saw it from point Lucas was in malcolms flat asking for Albany file and M had just called him john when I switched over (v annoying was wAiting for DNs to leave my mums and they were watching something else - didn't think Spooks suitable viewing material for them In case of kitchen table scene sudden eruption of violence in true Spooks stylee.)

brooke73 · 26/10/2010 22:42

Sorry can't help - always save spooks for wkend - not sure I'd be able to recall storyline anyway, mind still swimming with images of Guy removing his leather trousers Wink.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 26/10/2010 23:01

Okaaay, and a late night treat for all you ladies whose passion is cooking.

And kitchen tables.

Baddie Russians/Chinese working together, hacked into the Grid exposing all of the data that they hold, and when the American data-sharing programme called Cybershell was going to be linked to the Grid the R/C would have everyone's secrets.

Tariq found the snoops, threw a mock tantrum so that Ros followed him into the gent's and he told her.

Ros then passed it on to Harry via a note that he was able to secretly look at through the side of a glass of water. I thought that was ace.

Lucas was tasked to transport the American computer geek to transfer the codes for cybershell, but Michael was also bugging him for Albany files, so in the middle of the transfer he went to Malcolm's house, who called him John, but passed it off as a made up name to "Mother" and Lucas relaxed again.

The R/C started downloading data files, so Harry ordered them to shut everything off, and that allowed the bad guys to simulate Harry's voice and send Lucas to a bogus rendezvous, where the package got shot and died, but Lucas was a bit "tardy" about getting the ambulance to her once he'd shot the bad guys with the AK47's, hence the comments on here about him going to the dark side.

I'm sure other posters will add bits that I've missed out, and I know I went further than I needed to, but when I got into it, I was enjoying remembering!!!

Boring DH said I should tell you to go to iPlayer. WHERE'S THE FUN IN THAT?!?!?

Meow75 · 26/10/2010 23:08

He's not NEARLY as good looking clean shaven!?!?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 26/10/2010 23:17

He has a luuurvely laugh though...

I hope he appreciates all the cultural bits we did, though...

MrsLucasNorth · 26/10/2010 23:52

Hard to get? Oh you are good LeQueen.
I'm not sure I'd be able or willing to play hard to get, but then I bear more of a resemblance to Rev. Geraldine Granger than the bird from Spooks so I'd be inclined to make the most of the opportunity before he got shot of the beer goggles!

According to an interview he did in Woman's Own (I think) last week his celebrity crush is Dawn French, so I may be doing myself a disservice.
Still not sure I'd last 45 minutes given the opportunity though Wink!

Could be you missed the Emily Dickinson, LeQueen. And there was a smidgeon of William Blake in there somewhere. Not to mention a discussion of medieval sartorial matters, designer armour and the like. With illustrations.

MrsLucasNorth · 27/10/2010 00:10

Not according to our source (aka mrstimlovejoy) or several recent interviews mentioning a previous live-in girlfriend and his wanting to do the marriage & kids thing eventually.

We take our research very seriously on this thread!

MrsLucasNorth · 27/10/2010 00:13

Did you know the main tattoo on Lucas' chest is a William Blake artwork - 'The Ancient of Days'

Mrs LN I know I am a relative Lucas virgin, but I have been good and freeze framed the DVD done a small amount of research on the subject.
I always think Guy could do with a tattoo or two, to add to his bad boy image. How about something cultural, like honi soit qui mal y pense

Theresaholeinyourmind · 27/10/2010 00:29

Dammit leQueen. Foiled again. Please don't tell anyone else.

MrsLucasNorth · 27/10/2010 08:13

Very appropriate, theresahole although the fact that it's also the motto of the Royal Engineers makes it seem slightly less romantic somehow!

cornishpasty · 27/10/2010 08:23

Theresahole, Guy does in fact have a tattoo!
It's a wolf........
www.richardarmitagenet.com/images/gallery/RobinHood/album/seasonone/episode8/slides/rh108_043.html

Tis a bit rubbish though. You need to look upside down to see that it is a wolf.

MrsLucasNorth · 27/10/2010 09:45

Well spotted Cornish.
I'm struggling with the dvds of Robin Hood tbh - too many puny little boy types to get through in between the Gisbourne scenes!
