Ahem Ahem.
Excuse me ladies. He's mine.
(flashes huge diamond ring on finger)

fumanchu · 28/09/2010 14:50

Why has no one mentioned his super sexy voice!!!! Delicious!!!!

Litchick · 28/09/2010 15:14

Indeed. And au naturel, it had a hint of a northern accent, which gave it a slightly dirty gritty edge.

DilysPrice · 28/09/2010 15:22

He's a huge improvement on Boring Adam, but I'm still in mourning for Ros. How can she be dead?

Very pleased about lovely Dimitri not being dead though - all the publicity made such a fuss about Beth so I assumed that he wouldn't make it to the closing credits of Episode 1.

Chil1234 · 28/09/2010 15:35

I'm totally with DilysPrice on Ros. Armitage is good eye-candy, I'll give you that but it's just all wrong to remove the one decent character from that show that made it worth watching. Ros could snap a man's neck between her leather-clad kneecaps and not even break stride in the process. Marvellous stuff. Now what have we got? Ruth the Swot, Tariq the Nerd, Lucas the possibly not even called Lucas, Beth the Head Girl and Harry the Human Shar Pei. As for Dmitri... do they have not have to pay him if they don't give him any lines?

Litchick · 28/09/2010 15:58

And who do we think will peg it during this series?

My money's on Dimitri.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 28/09/2010 17:07

I think Dimitri too, based on the fact that he's hardly said anything yet.

Clearly they are setting up a kind of Ros/Adam potential love interest thing between Lucas and Beth, and they can't get rid of Ruth again.

Agree that Ros was fabulous, it's a shame she's gone.

missbeehiving · 28/09/2010 17:16

Beth is boring and unconvincing. I see her teaching Jolly Phonics not engaging in fighting international terror. And she looks like she dresses in nylon from Next. Ros had a great line in close fitting leather and she was in charge. She was a woman to be reckoned with.

Chil1234 · 28/09/2010 17:27

I'm just hoping Hermione Norris left Spooks so she could take over from Daniel Craig as James Bond and give that tired old format a bit of gender-bending pzazz. (Dmitri definitely toast)

cupcakesandbunting · 28/09/2010 17:30

Oh yes. The voice. The amount of times I've imagined that voice uttering filth into my ear. I've lost count...

I still think of Dimitri as that lad from hollyoaks but if he takes his top off a few times I'm sure I can be made to forget. in the meantime
Yes please RA

5Foot5 · 28/09/2010 19:12

"So no one's going to fight me for Harry then...?"

Yes fuscia I am in the queue for him too.

And DylisPrice !! How can you say Adam was boring!!???

Hermya321 · 28/09/2010 19:19

Fumanchu Oh yeah, I could listen to him read the phone book and be enthralled.

I don't care who has him, can I just come round and stare at him.....please????

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 28/09/2010 19:28

(But what's with the annoying voiceover comenting on every scene, just like the one that spoiled ashes to ashes)
I preferred him as Gof G, but will take him in any form...even the voiceover for Santander ad.. gravelly....

fuschiagroan · 28/09/2010 19:31

Yay fight. I'm glad others agree that he is hot. I was v. impressed at the assassination too. He would be very useful - if you were complaining about someone at work instead of offering a back rub or a cup of tea he would have them poisoned.

NanBullen · 28/09/2010 19:39

Ermmmm, I read that he was gay.......

NanBullen · 28/09/2010 19:39

I still would though Grin

Hermya321 · 28/09/2010 19:51

Fushia Grin

cupcakesandbunting · 28/09/2010 20:20

I have recently bought North and South on dvd because I love to undress Mr Thornton with my eyes watch period dramas for educational purposes.

cupcakesandbunting · 28/09/2010 20:36

I did not ever see North and South. Must look into it.

OP posts:
SiriusStar · 28/09/2010 20:40

Play.com had it cheap.
You can watch snippets of it (fan made) on you tube.
Mmmmmmm lovely.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 28/09/2010 20:40

My dh gave me the North and South box set for my birthday. I too am very interested in dramatisations of Victorian novels preferably starring saturnine men.
