to quite like fish tanks..?

I know it's the Daily Mail, I know IABU to read it, but what is wrong with big fish tanks??

If you look at the pictures there are MANY other things to pick on, yet they specifically mention fish tanks... that makes all Dentists tacky does it?

I quite like giant fish tanks :( I think they're nice and relaxing, AIBU, will I be judged if I choose to have fish tanks?

My gp has a huuuge fish tank, at my last appt I said ooh I like your fish. He replied 'oh hasn't been any fish in there for years' I then pointed to the one fish and he said 'wellfuck me'

My DD would LOVE that pink bedroom! But no...YANBU it's a matter of taste...I think it depends on how you present your fishtank...their tank is ostentatious...as is the rest of the house. It looks very 70s and not in a good way...a bit porn set!

I should tell you I have a velour pyjamas set and live in Manchester though

Anenome - I am very anti-girly and used to dislike all things pink, but I have to admit to being a bit jealous of the bedroom. Not the horrible furniture, but the colour! It's amazing!

iirc Stephen Ireland is a genuine fish enthusiast: his tank has featured in Practical Fishkeeping Magazine, which is a far more respectable publication than the DM. So hardly just a piece of tacky decor.

YANBU to like fish tanks. I find them fascinating to watch. I'd have one if they weren't such a nuisance to clean.

If I ever win the lottery I'm having a fish tank the size of my living room wall with someone to come in and clean it.

The article is hideous in itself :) Stupid Daily Mail. You're right TeamEdward, it's very patronising... but then the Daily Mail always is.

I would have one if I had a big house I think, probably not a whole wall one! But the bigger they are, the nicer they look. Pain to clean though. I also think bigger ones are much kinder for the fish.

I wonder what the Daily Mail's 'best home' would look like...?

I don't think they chose it, I think people voted for it, but they've still called it the best home... I think it's very Daily Mail. It's a castle, to keep all those nasty immigrants out!

Nasty article. Jan Moir talks about that couples lack of taste but more telling is her own lack of grace. Horrible.
