To be concerned about Tesco's 'economy' drive?

I've been to three different Tescos in the last couple of weeks and they have been night visits (after 9pm) and each time the car park lights are off!

Not just a couple ALL of them. At first I thought it was just a fault, but no, they are being 'green' by turning off all their lights!

What a stupid idea. Why not turn off half the lights? Coming out of the last store tonight it was very difficult to find the car and I had to wait for a passing car so that I could see what I was doing.

Did not help that there were sounds coming from further down the carpark of bored youths, was expecting to have my shopping or my car nicked at any time.

Is this happening in your area or is it just the Bristol area?

Bet you a cup of tea Ocado gets a mentionGrin

Sounds crap to me though, and ideal for pickpockets to steal your purse in the dark

thats daft if they are open late nightS how long till somone falls over in the dark and sues them (if the uneven drain covers all over our local tesco car park are anything to go by)

Suppose I was BU for leaving my trolley in the car park....could not even see the trolley park!
I will be complaining tomorrow as it's downright dangerous.
Either light one section of the car park or have reduced lighting, don't turn it all off!
