To think that if you let your five year old shit on the pavement

that you might clear it up? Lunchtime today, woman walking down the road with her daughter, around 4 or 5, I'd say - certainly not just potty trained, very articulate. Child stops on the pavement, pulls down her knickers and unleashes a huge coil (accompanied by a bit of grunting). Mother wiped child's bottom, chucked the shitty paper on the pavement and they continued their merry way.

I know the pavements are covered with dog shit here (Paris), but this was beyond belief. They were about 15 metres away from a restaurant - I'm sure they could have popped in and used the loo in an emergency.

Ewww.

Or is this a cunning ploy to keep all the Brits away from Paris MrsS? Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 29/08/2010 20:00

I should have run downstairs and shouted after her "Oy! You've dropped something!" Grin

that is truly fucking disgusting!

grapeandlemon · 29/08/2010 20:02

You were in Paris?

This does not surprise me in the least - it stinks of piss and poo. I lived in Paris for work on and off and everyone just pisses in the street and it's awful. And I mean in "nice" areas of Paris....

MrsSchadenfreude · 29/08/2010 20:03

This is a nice area of Paris. Tis full of Mumsnetters. Grin

For real??

MrsSchadenfreude · 29/08/2010 20:05

Yes, absolutely for real. Unfortunately.

Heh heh. And there's me thinking Paris is only peopled by rich, thin, middle class intellectuals (per Bonsoir).

ZZZenAgain · 29/08/2010 20:06

well I dunno, we had to literally zig-zag down the streets in Berlin a) to avoid getting an old woman axe you in the chest with an elbow, b) not to fall into a pile of dog poo after getting axed or in the process of ducking an attack.

I am so used to it now

The child wouldn't have bothered me much, am tolerant of kids and those urges but they usually go behind a bush for a bit of cover. Dumping a dirty wipe on the pavement too is really going overboard.

I rmemember being in Berlin on a side-street coming up to the corner of a fairly busy road. An old woman stopped and did a poo at the corner and a woman in her 40s screamed at her for it, really OTT I thought. The old lady was really old. Considering all the dog poo littered up and down every street, what difference is one old lady making?

bulby · 29/08/2010 20:09

My 2 year old needed a wee which turned out to be a poo, I was mortified but my goodness I cleaned it up, that is just unbelievable (also it wasn't middle of pavement was behind car in a carpark)0

MrsSchadenfreude · 29/08/2010 20:10

No, Namey, there's me too. Grin I live ver' close to Bonsoir, so bring the neighbourhood down a bit!

(but not to this level, I hasten to add.)

Shock Shock Shock

It wasn't Bonsoir's DD was it? Smile

5DollarShake · 29/08/2010 20:13

Grin It's true - there's something about the dumping of the wet wipe on the street that really is the final slap in the face of the whole thing.

NiceShoes · 29/08/2010 20:16

Gross,really gross.

Marchpane · 29/08/2010 20:17

Bloody French

Grin
mitochondria · 29/08/2010 20:17

Ewww. I'd clean it up.

I don't see how child-poo is any worse than dog-poo though.

My three year old did a poo in the countryside when he was with grandparents - I would have picked it up but grandad buried it. They were in the middle of nowhere, so I suppose it's OK.

MrsSchadenfreude · 29/08/2010 20:25

Bonsoir's daughter??/ShockShockShock

Certainly not!!
