That's horrible-I defriended someone last week for this very reason

How about telling him how you can't believe that he could be so ignorant and well, racist?! And then tell him that as a result of this, you no longer wish to be friends with him!

One of my (now ex) 'friends' has just put something similarly racist about the pakistan floods. Must be the day for it!
