My DH has just come home from working on the moors whilst DS and i were having a bath and has said 'well, it's a bit much, you've had all day to have a bath but you chose the time i come in and want a shower' now i'm upset but he says he was just joking. Maybe having a 4 month old to look after has made me lose my sense of humour? Angry Any way, just want him to say 'sorry, but i was only joking' instead he's gone all grumpy and so have i

well he does have a point...

MoralDefective · 23/08/2010 23:21

Maybe a little thoughtless...agree he does have a point...perhaps you could say sorry first, then it won't need to be grumpy Smile

Firawla · 23/08/2010 23:27

yabu, i agree with your husband but did you not know what time he was coming in? if you did know then is it not a bit thoughtless/selfish of you, not him??

tinky19 · 23/08/2010 23:49

No I did not know what time he was due in, and having prepared his tea, tidied house, looked after 4month old all day I don't think a bath to help settle DS for bed at 6pm is unreasonable! Why should I say sorry?

Wow, people are mental! YANBU at all! Why should you have to vacate the bathroom just because 'the man of the house' wants a shower? Very old fashioned view ladies!

My DH would have made me a nice cup of tea while he was waiting for his shower.

Valpollicella · 23/08/2010 23:55

I would say YANBU.

Even if he needed a shower or a bath...he could have waited 5 mins for you two to get out?

Surely a grown man can wait for 5 (or 10!) mins for a shower?

Without a need to make a point about 'Oh you've been at home ALL DAY' type comment

Cos we all know how irritating those kind of comments (or implied comments) are...

LastOrdersAgain · 24/08/2010 00:01

Divorce him

tallwivglasses · 24/08/2010 00:03

Blimey. YANBU. Tell him he's being a grumpy git.
