Just watching the highlights from the V festival, I love her voice and her vibe.

DC2 is due in ten weeks, AIBU to want to us the name Florence if a girl.

Not sure how dh will react, think he may think its a bit too much for our non posh area!

i liked Florence for ours, DH didn't! We went with Rose in the end.

Rosa is my favourite girls name but cannot use it due to surname Sad

lovely name! I named DD Polly Jean after PJ Harvey, nothing wrong with using rock stars for inspiration imo Smile

isn't this one for baby names?

drfayray · 22/08/2010 15:23

I think Florence is fabulous! Lovely lovely name. I named my daughter after the Indian goddess of wealth. Poor child. Suits her though.

Florence is quite a popular name at the mo around where I live and isn't it the name of Rupert Penry-Jones and Dervla Kirwens dd.

Mind you possiblity of it being shortened to Florrie, Flossie or Floss

Dysgu · 22/08/2010 21:34

I love the name Florence - DD1 is one although tends to be called Florrie on a day to day basis.

It is meant to be becoming more popular but we have never met another one where we live.

Are you so keen now that the Camerons have named their new dd Florence?
