Sorry when my husband told me about this I laughed.www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-11022260

Reading the story I felt really sad for the child who was there and injured of course but can't help feeling everyoen else got what they deserved. ALso feel children really shouldn't be allowed anywhere dangerous like that or to learn to enjoy that kind of entertainment.

Same here - they wanted to see a fight huh?
Well they got one.
I'm sorry a child was injured but there is no excuse for taking them there.

sanielle · 19/08/2010 12:50

True Bunty and at least this fight wasn't stacked against the bull!

It's awful that people got injured, but as you say, what are people doing going to these hideous things? How the hell can it be classed as entertainment, poor terrified animal.

musicmadness · 19/08/2010 14:01

good. sorry the kid was hurt but the rest of the deserved it. how anyone can class that as entertainment is beyond me.

Scuttlebutter · 19/08/2010 16:06

Yes, am sickened by this. Am just pleased the bull got a few idiots (obviously not the child).

cupcakesandbunting · 19/08/2010 16:08

Serves them right (ten y/o excluded). Maybe the kid's parents will do something nicer with him in future instead of thinking that torture of an animal is a good form of entertainment.

Ryoko · 19/08/2010 16:12

The child would have grown up to be just as big an idiot as the parents, maybe now the kid will have such a pathological fear of bulls he will never attend a bull fight again.

the bull should have injured more children as they are the future, The running of the bulls should be an under 10's event.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 19/08/2010 16:12

YANBU, the poor bull was just trying to escape.

msrisotto · 19/08/2010 16:14

"The running of the bulls should be an under 10's event." Grin your post made me actually laugh out loud, that never happens to me on mn! (I'm not here that often mind)

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 19/08/2010 16:23

sadly, the bull was about to be taken away out of the ring and not killed, apparently, but because of this they killed it.

Poor sod.

capricorn76 · 19/08/2010 16:27

YANBU! I thought the same thing. Hopefully this incident will speed up the total ban of this disgusting form of 'entertainment'.

DuelingFanjo · 19/08/2010 16:39

me too. Shame they killed the bull though :(

Wanttofly · 19/08/2010 16:59

They should just ban bull fighting its cruel Angry

sanielle · 19/08/2010 17:06

Ryoko psml, shall we get bulls to visit schools in the future Grin

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 19/08/2010 17:14

yanbu, i think its disgusting, and i 2nd the hope that the child injured will be too scared to attend another 'show'

KaraStarbuckThrace · 19/08/2010 17:15

YANBU,

My dad is Spanish, and very traditional, but he hates bullfighting and would loved to see it banned, he agrees with me that it is an outdated and cruel tradition.

SouthMum · 19/08/2010 17:38

YANBU its vile and people who go to them give me the creeps

Vallhala · 19/08/2010 18:43

YANBU but I must say that I'm surprised that so far no bleeding hearter one has complained about the lack of concern for the humans.

Glad, but surprised nonetheless.

Personally I'd happily put anyone who is in any way involved in this vile "sport" into a large arena and shoot the bloody lot of them.

HecateQueenOfWitches · 19/08/2010 18:45

Anyone who takes pleasure in the tormenting and torturing of animals deserves anything they get.

It is very sad that some twat chose to take a child to such an event, and sad the child was injured.

Man is the only creature on the planet that gets pleasure from torturing and killing other creatures it seems to me. Other animals kill for food. Or to protect. Or in the case of the wild and savage pussy cat, for practise. We (as a species. Not all of us individuals, probably not even a majority, but enough to make it feel like a human 'trait') just enjoy it. It's fun to see other creatures frightened, hurt, maimed and killed, apparently. I wonder why that is and what it says about humans.
