Albeit two days a week. I go back next week.

I feel guilty for looking forward to going back and having two days a week with other adults.

YANBU, at all!

Part-time work has kept me sane for many a year now since having children. Love it!

Hope it all goes well for you!

I was desperate to go back to work - it only came on about a month before I went back (3 days a week) and it did shock me a little. DD and I have a great time when we're together but we both get a break when I'm at work - it's brilliant and I love being back doing my job. Don't feel guilty.

Summerbird73 · 10/08/2010 20:11

good for you fiona i was dreading it but went back 3 days and am going full time in the new year as it is going so well. DS has a ball at nursery and our time together is uber quality. Grin

Not at all! I'd kill for some adult communication at times. Don't feel guilty, enjoy your work, and then enjoy your time with your DCs when you get home :) I always find DS that bit less draining if I haven't been around him 24/7 Wink

Don;t be a martyr. Of course you';re not being unreasonable.

Gibbon · 10/08/2010 20:19

You must know YANBU op.

pointydog · 10/08/2010 21:00

hello gibbon. where's the ribbon?

Gibbon · 10/08/2010 22:45

Fancied a change pointy and this is as daring as I got.

pointydog · 11/08/2010 12:25

I like it. More manly.

Oblomov · 11/08/2010 12:50

Don't talk nonsense. I couldn't wait to return for my 2.5 days.
You can talk politics, sherlock, Pacific, mistresses or any other semi reasonable programme you have watched recently. and any other topic.
no kids. sit and have a coffee.
what is there not to look forward to ?

FionaSH · 11/08/2010 12:55

Thanks, I'll try and take my martyrdom hat off then, ta Grin
I just feel guilty that actually a little time away from my DS does appeal... I'll probably hate it!
I think it'll do me some good mentally, which in turn will be good for DS.

YANBU - I am seriously looking forward to going back to work in 3 weeks. I've found since admitting that i'm looking forward to it, that many other mums i know feel or felt the same way, just felt awful admitting it.
