To think if anyone is sleeping...

It should be me!

DS2 is 8 weeks. He had viral meningitis at 10 days (5 day hospital stay, but ok now), DS1 had glandular fever at the same time, then DS1 had chicken pox and gave it to DS2 who has just recovered. I'm completely knackered and in need of some rest, although suspect a short kip wouldn't cut it right now.

DH is currently asleep with DS2 and has been for the past hour. I'm wrangling DS1 who is a real handful atm (2.5, so whining for Scotland!).

Feeling very jealous of DH right now.

(Should add that DH is working and helping out as much as he can, so probably tired too. Not getting up in the night though as needs to be sharp for work).

AIBU to be jealous and just a little bit tempted to give him a poke awake?

I thought I wasn't BU, but they do look quite cute and if I wake DH up the chances are DS1 will wake too...

constantlytired- yes it has been a bit of a nightmare. When the chickenpox struck I must admit feeling more than a little sorry for myself (and the DS's of course!).

Thanks for the sympathy!

I'd let him sleep - he'll be so rested that it wont hurt him to be on 'night duty' tonight and you can get a decent nights sleep, unless you are BF - if you are he can get up if DS1 wakes and when DS2 wakes he can bring him into you and settle him back down afterwards.

Yes he needs to be 'sharp' for work, but you need to be rested as well to look after a lively 2.5 year old and an 8 week old that hasn't had the best start to life!!

I'm not bloody suprised you're feeling a bit sorry for yourself - I feel sorry for you!!
