Worried about my child starting school as she suffers from lots of allergies

Hi everyone,

My four year old is going to be starting school soon and I?m really worried about how the teachers will remember what allergies she has especially at lunchtime. I'm going to give her a packed lunch but you know what kids are like with their swaps.

Any advice would be greatly received

Speak to the school about their policies. Some school are very well geared up to safeguarding children with allergies and have lots of things in place to ensure they aren't exposed to allergens. Unfortunately there are other schools that have nothing in place and it might be down to you to introduce a plan for your her. If that is the case then we can all help guide you as lots of us have been there before!
The internet has great sources of guidance too especially the Anaphylaxis Campaign. They even run courses for schools.
You might find it puts your mind at ease; and for the first few weeks at least while they get to know your daughter, ti invest in some allergy alert badges/stickers for her lunchbag etc. I can help you with that just PM me.
