She has just turned 4 and is allergic to eggs.

At toddler group this morning there were teacakes on the treat table and when I checked they had egg in them so I gave her something else.

Later on she was hovering near the table and one of the other mums offered her one of the teacakes.

She very politely said 'no thanks, I am allergic to eggs and my mom said they have egg in them'

I was very proud and the other mum was very impressed.

Good for her what a clever girl!

My DS's allergies started at 4 and I forgot that Burger King put seseme seeds on their buns. He disappeared off and I found him at the counter telling the salemans there that "He couldn't eat the burger because of the seeds"
We live in a cul-de-sac where all the dcs played out and I often had a mum knock on the door asking if he could eat a cake or biscuit, because they had offered him one and he had told them about his allergies.
