Off to Spain next month - will I need to fill our suitcases with lactofree UHT milk or does anyone know if it's readily available in Spain / Balearics? Thanks

I've just been to france and there was a small selection there. Could you find out what the major supermarkets are and check with them before going? Also where they are in relation to you? How good is your spanish??? Do you know how to ask for it in spanish???

Thanks angel - spanish is very basic (beyond asking for a beer ) - finding local supermarket info is a good idea - will let DH do that one

lactose free milk =

leche deslactosada.
yoghurt deslactosado (kind of obvious)

I live in Mexico these days, but lived in Barcelona for a while back in the 90s. My experience is that urban Spaniards do not drink fresh milk. It is all UHT in the shops. Whan I was there I didn't see any; but it was 10 plus years ago and I didn't know it existed then. So if you are looking for milk, don't expect to find in the cooler area.

I would imagine that in the big supermarkets you will find it quite easily.
